What does Medicare Supplement Plan F cover?

Original Medicare is referred to as Part A (pays 80% of hospital expenses) and Part B (pays 80% of medical expenses).  Plan F pays the other 20% co-insurance and both the Medicare Part A hospital deductible ($1340 per occurrence, 2018 amount), as well as the Medicare Part B deductible ($183 per calendar-year, 2018 amount)... so that you have 100% coverage and no out-of-pocket costs.

Shop and compare Medicare Supplement Plan F rates with many highly rated insurance companies.

Every Medigap policy must follow federal and state laws designed to protect you, and they must be clearly identified as “Medicare
Supplement Insurance.”

Insurance companies can sell you only a“standardized” policy identified in most states by letters A through D, F through G, and K through N.  All policies offer the same basic benefits, but some offer additional benefits so you can choose which one meets your needs.  How the Plan F pays in addition to Medicare Part A and B is the same with every company that sells the Plan F, the only difference being the rating method of the company and current rates.

Medicare Supplement plans offer fixed costs and no surprises and are guaranteed renewable for life- as long as premiums are paid.  Plus, you can keep your doctor!
